Are there any more jRPGs for people who aren't big jRPG fans?

I loved final fantasy 7, 8, 9, and Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. I thought I was a jRPG fan but I played others such Grandia, Lunar, Skies of Arcadia, FF 10, and FF 12. I didn't find them as enjoyable although they were all highly rated gamed.

I figured I'm not a real jRPG fan, I just like games that are the best in the genre and do a lot of things that appeal to non-RPGers. FF7 for example, is the only RPG many people have played. However, it doesn't seem that those types of games exist these days. I couldn't really get into final fantasy 10, 11, 12, or 13.

So are there any RPGs left for some who doesn't particularly like RPGs? Perhaps outside the Square realm.
