Aspiring comic writer looking for help/advice

Honestly I've been spending the last 30 minutes or so looking for somewhere to post this and I think this is about the best spot for me. I'm an aspiring comic writer. I don't want to write for a weekly publication, or even a compilation. I have a world and a story that I want to tell.

My problem is that I don't know where to find an artist that would be willing to work with me. I've offered several different artists a sample of the comic and a offer of 50-50 when published (I have confidence in my work enough that it will get published.) Nobody seems to want to work for free and I understand that. My real need for advice is where can I find someone else that is looking to get noticed? Where can I find someone that is willing to colaborate with me on a project instead of just charge me to draw pretty pictures.

I'm hopelessly lost on this and I've been trying to find someone for almost 6 months now. I have a world concept worked out, a vague plot line for at least a few books, and the passion to see this through to profit.

TL;DR can someone offer me some advice on where to look for an artist that will work pro bono for a chance to get published like me. Also if anyone has advice on proper script format for a comic that would be great. I'm not really sure how well my scripts are, or what kind of format they should be in.

Thank you.
