Reddit, this thing started making a loud buzzing/vibrating noise today, what is it? And how do I stop it?

Here are pictures... It's in the upstairs hallway. Today it started making a very loud buzzing noise. It seems to be a vibration, as it will lessen somewhat if I hold parts of it. Because of the exposed wires I'm afraid of getting electrocuted if I mess with it too much.

Does anyone know what this is, and how I can fix it? It's driving me crazy!

edit: thanks for the tips :) It was not making a ringing noise, was vibrating. It was the top bar and this black thing that were causing the noise. Fixed now! We'll see what happens when someone rings the doorbell
