An Idea for a comedic TV show I came up with

The show would essentially revolve around a 16 year old boy who moves to a new town and starts to go to school there. Upon entering the school, every single person he meets is outstandingly nice to him and invites him to join one of four clubs: The goth club, tech club, sports club, and theatre (all to be renamed eventually). He is surprised and a little freaked out by there overwhelming welcome and notices hostility between different students asking him to join their clubs

As his first few days of school go on, he is approached by another student who informs him that everyone's only being nice to him because they want him to fight for them in the war. In reality, what's going on is that each of the four high school cliche cliques are in the midst of an all-out war against eachother that has lasted for years. There are the goths, who fight using weapons like ninja stars, daggers, bows, etc, the jocks who fight with swords, and other close combat weapons, the nerds who fight with high-tech weapons like lightsabers or guns, and hipsters who fight with crafty, homemade weapons.

The hostile relationships between the groups of students would be displayed ridiculously, as would the main character's perception of what's going on. The show would be shot in an arrested-development style mockumentary/sitcom and basically be a total out of proportion interpretation of the typical high school clique dramas in shows like Glee or movies like Mean Girls. The motives of the battles between the cliques would be school-related, like who gets to be in charge of the play, who the new funds the school recieved goes to, what the next fundraiser will be, etc.

The main character would be a "rougue," someone who has no side but fights for whoever hires them, allowing him to maintain a steady relationship with all the other cliques. The other main characters would be the 'leaders' of the cliques.

Thoughts?
