Sheriff's caught us smoking last night...

3 buddies and I had just finished smoking a delicious blue dream, kief, and cherry hash blunt at our local cut, when out of the dark the damn guy lights us up with his flashlight after spying on us for 10 minutes. After radioing in another sheriff and a local cop for backup, here's what he had to say to us WORD FOR WORD.

"Medical marijuana is bullshit, we're shutting it down in the state of California. It'll be cleaned up within the next few years and erased from history. Weed is a drug, it's addictive, and you can and will have serious withdrawals. 1 out of 4 of you guys will end up trying meth, crack, or heroin next and be addicted whether you like it or not."

He made us put our hands up and treated us like fucking criminals. All 4 of us are Juniors in college for christsake, simply trying to relax and enjoy a view over a bit of weed (what's wrong with that?).

Now..I've been a tree smoker for quite some time now, although new to r/trees, and I was completely baffled at his remarks. I honestly thought that the majority of society, especially in NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, was actually educated about both the medical and economic benefits legalized marijuana can provide. Granted we all had our club cards, he let all 4 of us go after harassing us for 20 minutes...Anyone else completely frustrated that society is unwilling to reach a consensus on weed? It's about time society should accept marijuana for what it is and not some BS "gateway drug".
