IAmA College student, AMA

Hey there r/teenagers! With all of this downtime during winter break, I've been stalking your subreddit more frequently than I'd like to admit, and thought there might be some interest in perspective from someone who only recently left your ranks.

A bit about me. I'm two years post-teen and in the middle of my junior year studying engineering at an Ivy League school. In high school, I was part of the school orchestra, dabbled in Quiz Bowl, and otherwise did my share of palling around and studying. At college, I'm part of an engineering fraternity, a robotics lab, and do a fair bit of drumming for a wide swath of groups on-campus.

Back in high school, I wasn't particularly social (read: "popular"), I didn't drink, didn't have sex (not that I wasn't trying), and stayed away from drugs (not that any or all of these conditions are necessarily co-requisite). Since arriving at college all of that has changed, so I'm happy to offer any perspective to those on one side of the divide who are curious about the other.

I also spent last summer working with an SAT prep company as an instructor and private tutor, so I'm well-informed on both the workings of the test, effective test prep, and the test prep industry, and can answer any questions about that ball of wax.

If you have any questions about college life, engineering, high school curricula and academics, the SAT, being social, drinking, drugs, sex, or life in general, throw them at me; I'd be happy to give you all a piece of my mind for peace of yours.

(Mods, if this is an ill-placed thread, PM me, and I'll be happy to move to a proper channel)
