Just had my first "Battlefield Moment." Not sure if you're interested, and I didn't get a video, but here it is.
Too bad Fraps wasn't running. If Battlefield could get as good of a game recorder as Halo's had since 2007, that'd be amazing.
Anyway:
Wake Island. Conquest. We're losing. I don't care, because I like shooting down aircraft. It makes me happy.
I'm running towards E. Out in the open like an idiot. But that's how I play. Suddenly I spot an enemy prone next to a large rock. About medium distance away. I open fire on him, and he hides behind the rock. I cross my fingers and chuck a grenade as far as I can. I'm not sure if it landed anywhere near him, so I prepare to open fire on the rock again, and then... BOOM.
The grenade must have gone over the rock and landed perfectly right next to him, because the explosion was centered literally directly behind the rock, right where he must have been hiding. He flew thirty feet in the air, and I swear I heard the Wilhelm scream. It was that perfect of a grenade toss. The ragdoll on the guy as he flew through the air was absolutely perfect.
I was laughing like crazy and thought that was the best thing I'd ever see in Battlefield 3. I was wrong. Because as I turned away from him and kept going towards E (keep in mind this is now about 10 seconds after the grenade blast), the rifle he was carrying lands perfectly 3 feet in front of me. I saw it fall out of the sky and everything. It couldn't have been more perfect.
So yeah, that was my Battlefield moment. I couldn't reproduce it if I tried.
