IAmA 19 year old male who ran from the police and spent the night in a padded room on suicide watch at my local police station. AMA

Two nights ago I got into an argument with my mother. We got face to face, and I pushed her out of the way so I could go in my room to mull things over. When I came back out she was calling the police. I immediately got on my bicycle and rode as far away as possible. My mother had called me when I was at least a mile away. Crying, she asked where I was. I told her that if she didn't tell the police to leave, I'd kill myself. That, in turn, gave the police the right to track my cell phone location. They found me. I got to the police station, and they asked if I still wanted to hurt myself. I said yes, and they put me in what they called a "suicide jacket", then put me in a padded room and didn't open the door for a day.
