When will HDD prices recede?
So apparently 25% of all hard drives are made in Thailand and are therefore affected by the floods.
On the other hand, 75% of hard drives are not made in Thailand, and Western Digital has already restarted it's Thailand production anyway.
So are we getting trolled hard by HDD-producing companies? When can we expect prices to come back down? 300+% price increases are not economically believable even in light of the disaster.
