How do I get over a love?

We were great together, but I let things slide, and we decided to end it. I want to get back with her, 3 months after we broke up, but she has told me she doesn't want to. Anyone out there have any experience getting over someone? She tells me she loves me and she was sad when I told her I'm going to try to move on, because I had told her I would wait for her, but she has been very clear that she doesn't feel like getting back together. The practical reasons we had for breaking up, such as our plans for the future and my career, etc., have been resolved. I'm back in school studying chinese medicine, and I want to have a stable professional life and a family to boot. But in her heart, she doesn't want to be with me. But I find myself wanting to be with her more and more. I'm just feeling really depressed about the situation and I could use some help. Thanks.
