What is "business casual" nowadays?

I have a software engineering interview on the East Coast (US) and I'm flummoxed. My usual wardrobe is t-shirts, hoodies, and shorts--which was fine at my last job.

I'm considering a short black blazer with a white t-shirt and caramel-colored corduroy pants.
