scReddit, in your opinion who are the players and coaches who made the biggest impact in SC2 eSports in 2011?
I'll start.
For players I think you have to mention Stephano for going from a 3 hours a day practicing med-school bound part-timer to someone who could stomp multiple Korean-heavy tournaments in one month. MVP deserves mentioning as well for being arguably the best player in the game despite extreme pain in both wrists. Finally I'd look at Huk, someone with almost no high-level experience in RTS who practiced his ass off and said he wanted to be the next Lim Yo-Hwan, then became the only foreigner to survive in Code S after GSL got rid of ladder maps, even getting to the Ro8, and being the only foreigner to win an MLG with Koreans.
As far as coaches go you have to look at Boxer and Jessica for making Slayers into a powerhouse so quickly, but someone who might be overlooked is FXOBoss. He took a mid-tier foreigner team, brought it to Korea, merged it with a talented but moneyless and winless Korean team, and turned it (with the help of Choya) into the team with two players in the last Code S Ro4, and developed Leenock from a good but inconsistent player into one of the game's top zergs.
In 2010 I think there were fewer choices, you had to have credited Nazgul for rebuilding TL and sending them to Korea while making the first foreign powerhouse team, and FruitDealer for winning GSL despite imbalance.
