Mk7: 1st gen 3ds v. Current gen

I thought something was up in MK land since Christmas. My daughter (wonderfully talented karter in her own 13yr old right) has been consistently kicking my ass in MK7 since Christmas day. Needless to say coming from my N64 days of glory this was a hard stone to swallow.... but something was amiss. Tonight we swapped 3dses because thats what happens when Daddy gets tanooki'd one too many times. Ego bruising aside, WTF NINTENDO?!? The new 3dses are so much tighter and brighter its a competitive advantage of serious significance in MK7. Track field of view and control through long power drifts are so much better with the new unit. 1st Gen is getting traded in on a sweet new red one this weekend so there is equality in the house. (Equality=Daddy getting the top podium slot)
