Need some travel tips

I am going to be surprising my lady-friend with a trip out to LA in mid-march for her Spring Break / birthday. I have famiy out in Hollywood and am there once a year, but I was wondering if any local redditors could throw out some ideas for a stressed out 25 year old Law Student. Any trendy hang-outs, shows, resturants, bars or music venues I could take her to? We'll be staying on Hollywood Blvd most likely. Thanks!
