Greetings exmuslims, what are your thoughts on sufism?

I consider myself to be a fairly liberal open minded free thinker so you can imagine the dilemma I've had trying to reconcile my beliefs with traditional Islamic values. For a long time I questioned my faith.

When I discovered the Sufi path, most of my issues with Islam were addressed. With an emphasis on love rather than law, I realized this was the true core of my belief system and with it, I have found myself living a peaceful worry free life.

Apologies if this sounds preachy. I always say it's best to live and let live but just thought there could be reminder that Islam is not one collective body. Various interpretations,sects,, etc may come about and I found the area that suits me.
