Visiting: What to do on NYE in Gainesville?? Help!

I'll be in Gainesville this weekend. I'm looking for somewhere fun for my friend and me to go on New Year's Eve. I guess I'm just curious if there's a fun bar or venue where people will be hanging out on NYE?? We're young and pretty much down to do anything. I love live music, dancing, drinking, etc...

Also, what are the top 3 places/attractions that we should check out in Gainesville or the surrounding areas in the 2 full days we're there? I'm down to drive an hour or two if it's worth it.
