International versions of textbooks

Does anyone know if the international version of textbooks differ significantly from the US versions? Those copies are usually about half the price as any listing I can find for the US versions. Trying to find out if they can be used for the class, or if I will run into significant problems. Two classes i'm taking next semester that I can find much cheaper international editions are cee 310 and cee 350. The international editions are listed under identical ISBN numbers.

I guess the international versions sometimes have different exercises, so if anyone knows if they do in this case, your input would be appreciated.
