Question regarding GPA "trends" when applying
I'm currently torn of whether to apply to law school next year or not. Honestly, it is all dependent upon whether I get into a T14 school or not, because I know the employment numbers outside of them are grim.
My problem is, my GPA is skewed because of my freshman year, and my first semester of sophomore year in college. I was a meaningless failure who saw college as a joke, and saw no purpose in life (basically having an existential crisis).
However, the past few semesters, I have gotten solid 4.0's, and 3.93's. Even so, my GPA is at a 3.5. I have two more semesters left, so I can probably get it up to around a 3.65.
My question is, will law school admissions officers look at the general trend of the recent semester GPA's, or will they simply look at the overall GPA?
