Where should I start to look for a 1970 Chevy Chevelle to restore?

I recently went to the Corvette museum, and surprisingly I came away struck by the one restored Chevelle instead of all of the beautiful Corvettes. I don't even know the first step to restore a car, my uncle does. I just need some help. Thanks in advance!
