Why is everyone getting CPU coolers for their I5-2500k?

Just bought my own PC with an I52500K, pieces are actually coming in the mail tomorrow. I have notice on here that a lot of people have CPU coolers for them, I didnt get one. It is because they all plan to over clock their CPU right now?
