Santa Cruz River Park. Tucson, AZ

I just played it for the first time today. It was also the first time playing a non-wooded course. The wind made it sooo challenging and I found it really hard to judge distance because how open it was. The wind gusts would be really hard to judge as well. From the tee box the wind would be going left to right and by the time my drive got down the fairway it was blowing right to left. Only had time to play 10 holes and shot +2 (birdied 2, bogied 8, 9, 10). I'm going to play Marana before I leave AZ so if anyone has some tips or experience it is much appreciated.
