Gigabyte z68XP-UD4 boot is slow - RAID config menu pops up every time.
I just built a new system:
Gigabyte ga-z68 XP-UD4 mobo
i7 2600k
12 DDR3 1333mhz RAM (two 2gb sticks on channel 1 and two 4gb sticks on channel 2)
60 gb corasar SSD + 1 tb seagate HDD (married with the quick response feature)
120 adata SSD (40 gb ubuntu ext4 partition and 71 gb ntfs win7 partition)
DVD burner
Every time I boot up, the system spends about 5 seconds on a RAID configuration screen before saying "Loading OS".
I'd like to skip this screen to have a faster boot time. I don't want to spend money on 2 SSDs and STILL have 30 second boot times. the actual OSes boot in under 10 seconds, but the BIOS and raid menu take 15-20 seconds, and I'd like to shave off a few seconds if possible.
"Quick boot" in the BIOS is enabled.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I know this is fairly trivial, but I've spent a lot of time tweaking and googling, and I haven't found anything about this so far.
