[Build Help] Looking for laptop building recommendations for a newbie.

Hey guys, so my laptop died on me and the parts are gonna cost way more than I can afford. I'm a complete newbie when it comes to building but I wanted to ask some advice and see if it's worth me doing, or if I'm better off going to find a shitty refurb.

I've got about $350 to spend, im a college student and need my laptop 24/7. I also wouldn't mind FINALLY having a laptop I can run games off without lagging to hell. Can anyone recommend where to start, if it's worth it with so little money, etc.? I know this is a general question and I'd appreciate ANY help you guys can give me.
