Visiting Houston for the holiday and found a lost dog. Don't think his owner wants him, but I think he's pretty awesome if you ask me. I'm leaving Saturday back to San Fran. Help!

I'm visiting Houston for the holiday. This little guy ran in front of my car in busy traffic. Girlfriend and I picked him up. No tags. His eye is a little scratched up and its bothering him. Called SPCA, animal control and filed lost reports. Took him to the vet -- no microchip, no tattoo. Posted signs on telephone poles where I found him. Put up notices on craigslist, facebook and any where else I could think of. No one has responded. I'm flying back to San Fran on Saturday, so really hoping the owner see's something I've posted, or a good samaritan in the city steps up and rescues him. Let me know if anyone has any leads/advice.

He seems to be an American Pit Bull terrier mixed with something smaller, because he's probably about 25 lbs. http://i.imgur.com/8S0no.jpg

My guess is he's 2-3 years old.
