Vacation help.

Hi, My girlfriend and I want to take a vacation this may of 2012. Been trying to find stuff on internet but there is so much I dont know where to start. We would like to go to italy and greece. I looked into cruises a little as I like the idea of spending alot of time in the mediterranean.

I am 21 and she is 20. We got some money saved up and can spend a few thousand so just looking for help from reddit with any ideas for planning this out.
