I have a fix for Assassin's Creed 2 Mac Language Bug but I can't post on Steam forums.

I purchased Assassin's Creed 2 from the Steam Holiday Sale but when I launched the game the launcher and all menus were in Danish. I found a few other people who were having the same problem on the Steam forums. I created a forum account to post the solution to the bug but I have to wait for account activation before I am able to make forum posts.

TL;DR

Can someone with a Steam forum account post the bug fix I found?

Changing the language settings in the plist file for Assassin's Creed 2 will fix the issue.

The plist file can be found in:

/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/assassin's creed 2/Assassin's Creed 2

Assassin's Creed 2 is an Application file so you must right click on it and choose "Show Package Contents"

Inside of the /Contents/ folder will be the file:

-----> Info.plist

You should be able to open the file with a plist editor. You can use the Property List Editor if you have Xcode installed, download the free trial of PlistEdit Pro at http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/plisteditpro/ or use whatever else you can find. In the plist file you will see a line for Language that is set to "dan". The Language can be set to "eng" for english (you will have to experiment to find other languages).

Saving this file and relaunching the game in Steam should resolve the issue.
