To Atheists: What is your stance on objective moral values?

The argument I hear often is that atheists are capable of being good people, but cannot justify saying one thing is actually evil or good with any weight to their conclusion outside of personal opinion.

What are your thoughts on this?

(I'm mostly playing devil's advocate here and have a pretty good answer myself, just want to see general responses)
