Trying to get into pharma sales
I'm a traditional senior at Rutgers looking to get into pharmaceutical sales upon graduation in spring. I began my college career as a biology major and spent 2 years following a science-based curriculum before deciding to switch to a liberal arts major (communication; polar opposite, I know) where I really found an interest in health communication. I have worked for a boutique pharmaceutical communication company and I am currently doing a thesis on HIV positive patients and their methods of disclosure to friends and family. I've never worked less than two jobs at a time during my college career; currently, I work for a university extension doing public relations as a day job, and I waitress and bartend at night. Although it is often ridiculed, I think I would really enjoy a job in pharmaceutical sales. I am charismatic, outgoing, hardworking, and intelligent (and because of the stereotype, I'll dare say that I am considered by many as an "attractive blonde"). So, my question is where do I start? (or am I jumping the gun and should I wait until I graduate?)
