Closet Atheism Advice

I'm an atheist with a somewhat religious family and somewhat religious friends. The only other person that knows I'm an atheist is my cousin who is also an atheist. When I told him over the holidays and I was welcomed with acceptance and understanding, it was the greatest feeling. However, I'm pretty sure if I tried the same with my family/friends the outcome would not be the same. I'm asking for any and all advice about anything relevant to the topic, and hopefully I can learn from all your experiences. Or maybe if you need to get something off of your chest, we can talk about it.
