Win 7 64bit Java flat out will not work/load/I have no idea.
So, right. I don't even know how to explain this one. I'm pretty adept with computers and random things like this - at least as far as a non-professional can be using google to find error codes.
Java just doesn't work. Plain and simple will not run/work/load/anything.
I started trying to play minecraft today and was very confused when I saw my CPU load shoot to 85%+ and ride there while the game was running. It started to crash randomly as well. The launcher is java and it would take over a minute to load and display while other times it was instant.
I read a few other people having the same issue and a couple people suggested changing the task priority for java to high, which I did. It's at this point that things just stopped working completely. As soon as I hit the setting it crashed minecraft and java and Windows Explorer.
Troubleshooting thus far:
-
Removed both versions of Java and reinstalled. No fix.
-
Did a repair install of Windows (thinking my ntdll.dll was corrupted from an earlier bluescreen while overclocking?). No fix.
-
I saw some advanced tricks with setting environments? .. JAVA_HOME .. something I didn't understand with JRE and JSM and other acronyms I'm not used to. I think this might have worked.
ANY HELP? I know it's not much to go on but I can provide any information and will try any solution that doesn't result in broken hardware.
- i5 2500k
- MSI P67A-G45 B3
- EVGA 560ti (448cores, 320-bit)
- 4gb Kingston HyperX 1333mhz
When I try to launch Minecraft it creates this error file: http://pastebin.com/PjkUv9k2
When I go to the Control Panel and try to open the Java menu for settings/options/stuff it instantly crashes with no errors.
Java website says my java is working. -.-
I'm tapped out. I've been working on this problem today solo for over 5 hours. I need some insight.
edit 1: Posting this made me think so I found some random java based game on some random website and that made Java 32bit startup and load. I can see it in the task manager once again. The taskbar icon for Java will let me access the options/menus but it still insta crashes when I try from Control Panel. wtf?
