Vampire Club (part 1)
This is a story I've been working on for a while. Just tell me what you think, and what I need to improve on. If this is not the place to post this tell me and I'll move it.
His log legs carried him as fast as his sore muscles would allow through the dense trees.
How could she trick me? He thought. How could I have fallen for it in the first place? Damn hormones! Damn biology! Damn world! Damn life!
He jumped over logs, ducked under low branches, weaved through trees but she was still on his tail. He cursed mentally and pushed through a patch of torn bushes.
He came to a clearing and stopped for a brief second.
That was his fatal mistake.
He was hit hard, the momentum of the object knocking him to the ground, face first. Whatever hit him was firmly planted on his back. Not whatever. Whoever.
There was a chuckle from the person pinning him to the ground. “I told you running was useless,” she said. He felt her weight shift forward. “But it did make this much more fun.” she whispered in his ear.
She giggled.
There was a sharp pain in his neck. He screamed. The bite was going to kill him.
He whished the bite had killed him.
The dream woke him just as his alarm went off. He groaned and sat up, turning off the alarm.
A knock at the door was followed by a shrill voice. “Wake Up Xavi-Bear! Time for the first day at a new school!”
Xavier groaned and looked at the clock… 5:15 a.m. His eyes widened. “Bitch! We have two hours!”
“I don’t give a damn!” The voice called back. Then there were footsteps heading down the stairs.
Xavier rolled his eyes and got out of bed. Walking into to the adjoined bathroom, he striped himself of his boxer-briefs and turned on the shower. He stepped into the shower, not even caring about the temperature; he let the water wake him from his groggy state. After washing and rinsing off he stepped out, dried off and wrapped the towel around his slender hips. He whipped of the steam fogged mirror and looked at the reflection, the man he hated.
His bloodshot eyes looked back at him. They were sharp and a light blue that faded to the deep bluish-gray. His face was heart shaped, with high cheekbones, a thin nose, a strong, angular jaw, and slim but full lips. Shaggy, white-blonde hair hung above his shoulders and framed his face. A long neck lead to slim muscled shoulders with long fit arms attached to them. His torso was tall and lean. Pale skin stretched over toned muscles. His legs, like the rest of him were long and muscled. Most people would love to have his features, and at one time he loved the way he looked. But now he hated his appearance. All because she came into his life
Sighing, he left the bathroom and went to his closet. He was quick to dress in a black, Black Veil Brides band tee, a pair of black skinny jeans, which he tucked into a pair of black and white checkered, high top All-star converse. He went back in to the bathroom and brushed his teeth and combed his hair a little. Then he put on his usual makeup. He outlined his eyes with a thick black liner, then went to work on a dark grey smoky eye, and finished with lengthening mascara.
He smirked at his reflection. She hated when he dressed like this. But it was who he was and she was going to have to deal since she chose him.
Xavier left the bathroom and went downstairs. Ignoring the noise coming from the kitchen, he went straight to the front door and grabbed his leather jacket from the coatrack.
“Where do you think you’re going?” her voice said right behind him.
He turned to look at her. “Getting breakfast before school, Ivy.”
Ivy fronded. “But I’m making breakfast.” She whined.
Xavier rolled his eyes at the brunette girl and slid into the fitted leather jacket. “I’m not eating that shitty health food you make. It’s not like we need to watch what we eat anyways.”
Ivy’s green eyes narrowed at him as she opened her mouth to speak.
Xavier didn’t give her the chance. He grabbed his keys, wallet, and slung his backpack onto his back. “Look I’ll see you at school.” And he walked out the door.
He strode down to the driveway and to his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He swung his leg over and sat down, starting the bike. He slid on his racing helmet and sped out of the driveway.
“(Hey, Hey) Brothers,
(Hey, Hey)Fighters,
(Hey, Hey) Bottles,
Living for another round.
(Hey, Hey) Lovers,
(Hey, Hey) Liars,
(Hey, Hey) Throttles,
Speeding towards a blackout.”
This was the first thing Alison heard as she woke up. “Youth and Whisky” by the Black Veil Brides was always good to wake up to. She sat up and stretched as the song continued. She glanced at the clock on her iHome. 5:45, plenty of time.
Alison jumped from the bed to her closet. She grabbed a crimson, fitted, girl-cut tee that said “Representing the BVB Army” on the front and “Outcast United” on the back in black lettering. She also grabbed a pair of stone washed gray jeans, and pair of red and black DC’s and clean underwear.
She left her closet to jog down the hall; her long legs carried her to the bathroom. She bolted in and locked the door just as her brother Dennis got to the door.
“HEY! No fair!” He called banging on the door.
“Ladies first, slowpoke!” she called back, stripping out of her Happy Bunny tank and shorts. Alison quickly dressed, brushed her teeth, gave herself a deep gray and red smoky eye around her golden hazel eyes and fixed her long hair into a black, golden blonde striped ponytail. Her bangs hung over her left eyes and she pinned them back with a clip that had a red bow on it.
Alison unlocked the door and walked out.
“Record timing, Sis” Dennis said looking up from his watch.
Alison ruffled his hair. “Let see if you can beat yours.”
Dennis rolled his eyes and walked into the bathroom as Alison jogged back to her room. She slipped into her gray zip up hoodie that had black lace on the pockets and hood. She grabbed her black messenger bag that had a rainbow skull and cross bones with a white bow on it, and a small collection of random, colorful buttons. Quickly gathering her iPod, compact mirror, and favorite lip balm, Alison dashed out to meet Dennis at the front door.
The fourteen-year-old was running around the living room. “Lisi, have you seen my sax?” he asked, head whipping around looking for the brass instrument.
He was wearing a royal blue button up flannel shirt, dark wash denim jeans and black converse. His short brown hair was a mess of curls around his head. His hazel eyes franticly darted around the room.
Alison grabbed his red bag and tossed it to him. “It’s in the car.” She said. “Bye Mom! Bye Dad!” she called back down the hall.
Relief visibly ran through Dennis’s body as he followed her out to her black Mustang. They threw their bags in the back and slid into their seats and drove out of the driveway.
They arrived at the school about 7:05. The marching band and color guard squad were practicing on the space on the far side of the parking lot. Alison parked in the closest spot she could find and she and Dennis got out. Dennis grabbed his bag and the case that held is saxophone, said good bye to Alison, and ran to join the ranks of the band members.
“You’re late.” A voice sang behind her.
