What is the best way to get started writing in objective c?

I would like to get into writing ios apps and other applications.

every where i have read says its all in objective c, but you need to know all the background and other languages.

could anyone out there give me a hand and tell me what languages and stuff i need to learn and in what order.

any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time
