Tips for smoking in the house

Well I think the title explains it but: I am looking for tips on smoking in the house.

Eventually I am going to finish the basement and put a nice den/smoking room in with ventalation. However I just bought the house, so the "basement finishing" fund is in its infancy. I am thinking of a couch and tv in the basement near the egress window. But still think the smell will linger or worse spread through the house.

Please any tips are welcome, it is cold outside!!
