I can haz jungle twitch advice?

So I'm primarily a solo-top, or jungler. I am considering picking up twitch on a smurph account I play with my friends who are still learning the game. However, I feel like he has no place in the meta outside of jungling, because he's not really a viable AD bottom. What items to start? Cloth 5, Vamp Scepter? I feel like it'd be a really slow, painful, dangerous route.
