Is it worth putting a leather strap on this watch?

I was given this black watch as a gift, and I'm not a fan of all black watches. I was thinking about exchanging it for this lighter color and putting a leather strap on it. Do you fellow MFA'ers think it's worth doing or if I should stay with the beige color wood links.
