Help my Fellows!

I tried to install the aether mod (v1.0.2) or (1.7.3), but unsuccessfully. Here are the deets: macbook air laptop I know I need a minecraft.jar folder I know I need certain mods to run it. ie, Modloader, AudioMod, ShockAHPl r.5 1 Do I need to delete META-INF? I have a general idea of how to install, but internet guides can only help so much. Or, if impossible for my computer, does anyone have the aether already loaded up in a world file that they will post for me? Please help. I've never installed a skin, much less a complex mod before.
