[Yet Another] Labor Question

I have had pretty debilitating period cramps for most of my life. The first two days of having my period are bad enough to send me to the bathroom to hurl and then to my bed to dream the days away. I can handle pain, and I'm hoping for a natural birth.

For you moms who have had babies already, is there a connection between period cramp pain and labor pains in intensity? I do understand that birthing is intense already, but will it be "Even worse" because my periods suck so much?
