I'm bronze! 1257! YES! A few tips to those who are struggling.
I thought ELO Hell existed but then I realized that everyone was just blaming each other for their own mistakes. I can attribute my climb from ~1020 to 1257 mostly because of me getting better as a team player. I main jungling so when people complain about a lane feeding I take responsibility for it, being 3/0/2 in a game and taking the blame off the 0/3/1-2 player does a lot for a healthy team. It shuts whoever is complaining up immediately and allows everyone to focus on the game.
A few tips to help those who are struggling through 'ELO Hell':
-
Always help your team, no matter what. If you're doing red buff and bottom lane is getting caught by a gank because they're overextending rush to help them. Time dragons/barons/enemy buffs to get edges on your enemies.
-
Never trade kills. You don't know how skilled the other player is so trading them a kill could result in them snowballing.
-
Try to stop chat fights in your team. These aren't conducive to winning, the losing teams are always the ones that are fighting.
-
Provide constructive criticism for your team mates & admit your own mistakes. One game I had an Irelia die 5 times top, another player starting calling him a feeder when he wasn't responding correctly to my plays (tanking the turret, not letting me tank it), I immediately took the blame and said it was my fault. I told Irelia to let me tank the turret when I came to gank and that since she was losing her lane to rush defensive items. She did both and actually managed to do an excellent job crushing squishies late game.

Play to have fun. If you get nervous queuing up, just remember it's a game! If you are nervous you're probably not playing your A game and you have a better chance of losing. I like listening to relaxing music while playing it helps keep me focused.
Last but not least, be gracious in defeat. Commend those who played better than you, as well as the good plays made by your team. If someone is trolling you, just report them. Reporting someone as an unskilled player actually matches them with lower ELO people decreasing your likeliness to queue with them again.
TL;DR Be a team player and have fun with the game! Don't rage as it doesn't do anything constructive for the game.
