iMac as the source (FLAC files) and Grado SR125s as the cans. What would I put in between these to make the next step?

So I'm burning in my Grados nicely and I've managed to switch a lot of my library over to FLAC or 320, but I've read a lot that a decent DAC and headphone amp is in my future.

I'm thinking something like a Fiio E7 and a Little Dot to start out for my new audiophile hobby while maintaining a budget and starting on stuff I can learn from.

Any suggestions are helpful; very happy with the Grados so far. Sorry for yet another newbie post, but I like to turn to Redditors for help!
