PSD and FT
Can anyone please explain the difference between these two (NOT MATHEMATICALLY)? I understand that the FT is essentially a 'continuous' extension of the Fourier series but it also intuitively gives us a graphical means of locating where specific signal energy lies with respect to frequency. How is this different from the power spectral density? Is it just that PSD gives a quantitative value as opposed to some arbitrary value?
