IJW: The Tillman Story

Mrs. Bush asks early in this documentary why we should even hear about the 'body bags or deaths' of war... At age 25 Pat Tillman leaves a multi-million dollar NFL contract for the the US army following the events of 9/11. The ranks of the US military spin his subsequent death into a media firestorm of misleading information. McCain to Bush to Rumsfeld praise Tillman's 'heroics' of saving his entire platoon from an enemy ambush, when his family soon uncovers he was shot by his own team..for no reason at all. Awarded the Silver Star on national television for no other reason than to further the narrative of the Bush doctrine. As this film interviews the members of his platoon he was around in his last minutes to his family who scrutinized the binders of official military documents, you soon learn what propaganda and coverups during wartime really entail.
