Query letter feedback.

This is the current state of my query letter for agents. I intentionally did not include the word count as it is an epic fantasy and is quite lengthy (less than the first WoT, et al, but still 280k words is pretty long). Any feedback would be great.

Forcing back the voices, Davfir closed his mind to the persistent shouts; in this moment, he could not afford to lose himself in their rage. He was the prophesied Awakener, destined to lead THE TRIBE DUSKWALKER against the pursuing armies of Tryst and the madman Den’Raith, and for that, he needed a clear mind.

When he appeared to them years before, as an elf-child with no memory of who he was or how he had come to be in the desolation of the Waste, only Talonen, the tribe’s Blademaster, suspected his true potential. Teaching him the ways of combat and the traditions of his people, Talonen brought Davfir into the tribe, and his prowess drew him quickly through the ranks of their warrior society.

Upon his acceptance among the tribe, they told Davfir of the secret burden bestowed upon them by the mysterious Guardian: the protection of a cache of magical items, the likes of which had not been seen since the Transformation that left the very fabric of existence scorched and warped, and held the ability to unseat the remaining immortal gods.

Den’Raith had learned of this magic. Magic he sought for his own gain. Magic he was willing to kill every last elf in the Waste to obtain.

Davfir could not let that happen. Unsheathing his hooked Nightmare blades, he screamed in unison with the voices in his mind, signaling the charge to decide the fate of his people.

Now complete, THE TRIBE DUSKWALKER is the first epic fantasy novel of the Desert Wind Trilogy, which follows its antihero through his lifelong quest of self-discovery, faith, love, loss, and, of course, revenge, all while gods try to use him as a puppet for their own ends.
