My neighbor's ghost.
One night, 2 years ago, (2009), I was 15 years old. My elderly neighbor who HATED our family with a passion died about a week before the following took place.
I was stressed out about something while I was inside, (Most likely schoolwork), So I decided to go outside and just lay down on my trampoline. So I went outside around 8ish, 8:10, somewhere around that time. I was laying flat on my back just looking at the stars, and our Porch Light was on. My mom came outside and asked if I was going to be outside for awhile, to which I replied yes. So she went inside and turned the light off. As soon as the light was off, and there was no light on me, I am face to face with my neighbor's ghost/spirit. Pure white, white body, hair, eyes, tongue, EVERYTHING. As soon as I saw her, I heard what sounded like a Snake hissing, but much deeper. I basically was scared so much I did a ninja backflip barrel roll off my trampoline and sprinted to the house. Closed all the blinds, locked the doors, turned on the porch light, and told my family the story.
Of course, they didn't believe me.
Later that night, (Technically the morning, around 2:00 AM), I was still scared out of my mind, couldn't sleep, just shaking, when I hear a rustling outside my window. Instead of being smart and NOT opening my blinds, I was stupid and checked. As soon as my blinds were about halfway up, I heard the worst sound a human could hear. It sounded like nails on a chalkboard, x10. I'm covering my ears, nearly crying from the sound, as I see my neighbor's spirit/ghost scratching slowly across my window. I randomly reacted by throwing a baseball at my window, completely shattering it, and making the ghost/spirit disappear. My parents came sprinting into my room asking what that loud pitched noise and crash was, The ghost/spirit then flew through my window and just went through the ceiling into the attic. We all drove to my aunts home, (which is only about 20 minutes away), and stayed there for a few nights.
We later got a priest to bless the home, and after what seemed like an eternity, it finally became peaceful. Never again have I gone outside alone at nighttime, and I will never forget that face and body. I am always slightly curious to look into my neighbor's home, and see if her spirit resides there. But not any time soon.
