Dear Reddit, I play SC2 on my laptop because I don't have a desktop or the desire to spend money on one. Will this affect my gameplay?

So I use my HP pavilion laptop to run starcraft, although my keyboard, mouse, and display are all extras that I bought. I recently came into some money from christmas and i was wondering if investing in a desktop will help my gameplay anymore than just moving my graphics settings up?
