Possible foreshadowing?

When I was rewatching 413 I noticed Merlin's cloths were different when Gwen was crowned. They were nicer than his normal cloths and since he wore his normal cloths when Arthur was crowned it doesn't make sense that it's just because of the ceremony. Could this be some kind of foreshadowing that Merlin is going to be promoted to advisor or something at the beginning of the next season?
