I called off our wedding because I met someone else

The biggest reason I called off our engagement because I met someone else and couldn't bring myself to physically cheat. I felt like shit because I know what I did was emotional cheating and realizing the feelings I had for her were the tipping point for me. When I was with you, it was because you were the safe option.

You were very attractive physically, but that was it. You had no drive, no passion, you were lazy and wouldn't admit it. You never seemed happy about anything going on with us or me. You never disclosed anything about your life and kept me at arms length (why did you even pressure me into proposing to you?). All you talked about was how you could stop working once we got married even though, initially, you would have made more money than me if you had actually used the two degrees you went to school for. You never did anything and you lived with your parents. You refused to live with me unless we were married because you'd lose your precious princess status and actually have to help out around the house. You never helped them with cleaning or dinner. You just came home, went to your room, and were mad that I cooked and cleaned my place instead of trying to make a conversation with you. You never tried to carry a conversation, you always expected me to move it along with you putting zero effort into it. And the worst of it was, that you never initiated sex. You think body image issues are only for girls? Try again, I still have a hard time women find me attractive.

I wish I could say I never talked to you about any of this. I wish I could say I only talked to you about this once or twice. I talked to you about this kind of crap for the better part of a year.

I met her online. Here on Reddit. I was curious and bored. We clicked immediately. She didn't get mad at me whenever I said I need some "me time" for gaming. She doesn't hesitate to tell me she likes me. She won't hesitate to send me a picture of her. She isn't a "failure to launch" case. She survives on her own and doesn't even want anyone taking care of her. She understands that there are responsibilities in life you can't expect your parents to do for you well into your late 20s and she's in her early 20s. She won't stop talking about how great I look before, and after, sex. She knew/knows about you, but not that we were engaged, nor how poorly you treated me. And she has a nicer body than you do.

I have been happier with her in the last 3 months, than I ever was with you in the 3 years we were together.

UPDATE: Thanks for all the kind words and support. I really appreciate it. Had been feeling a little guilty about the whole for a while but, it's been getting better.
