Dual Monitor problem, I really need help and don't know where else to ask.

I have to have dual monitors for an at home job I'm doing. Believe me when I say I have zero computer -tech -stuff- sense! I finally got the monitors going. Problem - When I go to the site I have to work from, it stretches across both screens, leaving my log-in field square in the middle of the monitors. I have to have two separate sites/ programs open to extract info from one to the other - virtually impossible with one monitor. This is seriously driving me crazy. The IT people can't seem to help, even with control of my system. I am sad. Please help me if you can.
