Best follower death stories

Since I am on vacation and do not have my Xbox or Skyrim I have been doing nothing but reading the Skyrim subreddit and some of my favorite posts are the ones about followers (especially Lydia) dieing. So I was wondering what are some of your best/favorite follower death stories.

Mine comes was during the Quest where you have to blackmail the steward of Markarth for the Stormcloaks. Since the guards freak out when you go into the back area where the steward's room is I had my follower (Benor) wait outside so i could sneak in and blackmail him. Everything was going smoothly until a guard walked by and saw me because i forgot to close the door. Well as soon as I ended the conversation with the steward the guard attacked me and the entire keep became a hellstorm. I killed the guard who attacked me and ran into the main room to see Benor engaged in combat with guards, Thalmor, and the Jarl. I tried to tell Benor to follow me so we could escape into the Reach together but he just continued to swing Wuuthrad and refused to even speak to me. In panic I fled out the door and through the streets of Markarth until I reached the door and I continued to run until I safely reached a cave and traveled to a nearby Stormcloak camp. By this time I had realized Benor was no longer with me, I returned to Understone after the liberation of The Reach. While the bodies of several guards and Thalmor littered the keep floor still the body of Benor was nowhere to be found. I searched far and wide for him until giving up on my search. He saw me rise to become harbinger of the companions, helped me retrieve the horn of Jurgen Windcaller, fought valiantly during the battle of Whiterun, and much more, before finally meeting his demise continuing the battle for Skyrim's freedom.

Also if anyone know how I could possibly locate his body (it was never found so he may actually live) I would love that since he had Wuuthrad and Volsung equipped. Losing them made me sadder then losing Benor.
