Teevox Year-End Post, Thanks, and a Mystery Project Announcement

Hi r/starcraft,

It's been quite a year. As 2011 comes to an end, I wanted to make sure to thank everyone in this subreddit for everything that has happened with Warp Prism / Teevox.

.

Reflections

Warp Prism first launched on this subreddit 8 months ago. Back then, it looked much different. (http://i.imgur.com/GDI6b.png, http://i.imgur.com/sXjnS.png)

Even with all its rough edges, you guys embraced me with incredible love and support. (The first version didn't even have chat!) It was your passion that started me down a career where I threw myself onto inventing better ways to watch eSports.

A lot happened since then. Warp Prism got a mobile app (http://warpprism.com/mobile), Warp Prism lost its mobile app, Warp Prism changed its name to Teevox.

Sometime during that period, you guys chased after me for a little while, but it was out of love. It meant you guys really cared.

All during those months, you guys sent me an endless number of emails + messages of how much you liked what I was making and different suggestions of improvements. It was those messages that kept me raring on trying out new projects and new ways to watch our sport.

Now

About a week ago, I was able to launch the Teevox Remote (http://teevox.com/remoteinfo) that turns your monitor into a game stream watching TV. Before launching, ten of you helped me work out the most serious bugs out of the app before releasing. I couldn't have done it without you guys.

I've been making projects all my life, but it was you guys that let me feel for the first time like I was loved. It's a funny feeling the first time you get it. Its like a never-ending stream of energy to make something great and new, trying to make sure you guys are the first to experience it in this world.

Into the Future!

Looking towards 2012, I have a big new project I would like to try out. My 2012 goal is to introduce as many new people as I can to eSports. The more people we can get, the bigger the worldwide phenomenon, and the more amazing events we can have.

In the past, most Warp Prism / Teevox projects were players that could be easily enjoyed alone. With all the past projects under my belt, I wanted to try something a little more daring.

.

This new "mystery" project I am working on will try to bring together everyone in a new way, but I need your help. This new project will try to bring people together and to make that fun, a large number of people have to come in at the same time -- a bit different than the usual individual player.

If you guys can help me get people interested in Starcraft / eSports / gaming to sign up, I can coordinate the launch in early 2012.
