Support groups full of der der ders?

This is going to come off offensive and I always start this conversation with that disclaimer but stay with me... Is it just me or are lesbian support groups full of the same demographic. I'm in a smaller city where connecting with lesbians my age (25ish) seems impossible. Do these groups seem oddly populated by women with cognitive disabilities? I'm all for welcoming everyone, of course, but I can't relate to the demographic that I find at these groups. Where are the intellectual college age queer womyn? Even the group at my college is full of women I can't relate to. Help me /al
